Amid the rumors surrounding Beyonce’s pregnancy, Savannah Guthrie asked the singer point-blank on ‘Today’ if she was with child. While Bey didn’t deny the reports upfront, she’s been on a social media mission to prove she’s not expecting!
After several reports surfaced that Beyonce is expecting her second child, the Love on Top singer has been sending signs that she’s not pregnant — but hasn’t confronted the rumors head-on. Even when Today show anchor Savannah Guthrie asked Beyonce if she was expecting, she didn’t give a clear answer!
Beyonce Doesn’t Confirm Or Deny Pregnancy Rumors
When Savannah Guthrie sat down with Beyonce, the mom to Blue Ivy Carter, 14 months, brushed off the question with a joking response.
“I would be remiss if I didn’t give you a chance to dispel any rumors if you were expecting,” Savannah asked the R&B superstar.
“What kind of rumor, huh? I don’t know what you’re talking about!” Beyonce said as she laughed off the question.
Nothing more was said about whether she is pregnant or not, and she’s doing all she can to make the public believe baby Blue will remain an only child for now. Is the recently confirmed baby number two just a rumored false hope?
Beyonce Dispels Pregnancy Rumors With Wine Pic
The singer has been adamant about denying that she’s pregnant again with subtle public responses.
On May 31, she posted a picture showing her enjoying a glass of wine with hubby Jay-Z, dismissing baby rumors. Ten days earlier on May 21, she posted a picture of a dinner menu which included Salad Niçoise, a fancy salad that includes tuna — a food doctors suggest pregnant women stay away from because of its high levels of mercury.
Before the Tumblr pictures, Beyonce posted an Instagram photo of just words, reading:
I can't stop the rumors from starting, and I can't really change people's minds who believe them, all I can do is sit back and laugh at these low life people who have nothing better to do than talk about me.
Bey is really starting to go out of her way to deny that she’s expecting!
Beyonce’s Outfit Choices Are Just As Wishy-Washy
Savannah mentioned that Beyonce was wearing a sheath dress when she first saw her for the interview, but then later on stage Beyonce was wearing a tight leather bodysuit. Other recent outfit choices have teased a second pregnancy, too: during a concert on May 4, she wore a tight sequined bodysuit that revealed what looked like a baby bump; and a Givenchy gown at the Met Ball on May 6 spurred confusion because of a belt strategically covering her midsection.
We’ll have to keep waiting and see if the reports are officially confirmed or denied!
